Job Description

 

• Prepare customer-wise forecasts, work plans and activity calendars, and communicate material changes promptly to the Regional Sales Manager.

• Drive sustainable growth through range selling, increased lines/SKUs, productive outlet coverage, new account acquisition and improved sales throughput.

• Conduct weekly and monthly business reviews with customer teams, category managers and relevant decision-makers, resolving execution and service gaps promptly.

• Identify and onboard high-potential Key Account and HORECA customers in line with WACPL policies and channel strategy.

• Plan and execute new product launches, consumer promotions, trade schemes and customer-specific activations in collaboration with Marketing, Category and Trade Marketing teams.

• Ensure superior product availability, assortment, pricing compliance, merchandising, visibility and share of space across assigned outlets.

• Ensure complete collection of credit sales on or before agreed due dates and maintain accurate, timely and complete customer account reconciliation.

• Monitor customer ageing, credit limits, claims, deductions, returns and outstanding balances, escalating risks and resolving discrepancies promptly.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service to align product availability, customer solutions and channel initiatives.

• Maintain an accurate customer database, contact plan, opportunity pipeline and sales forecast using approved systems and tools.

• Build a collaborative, accountable and motivated team environment focused on customer service, disciplined execution and results.

• Ensure all commercial, credit and sales activities comply with WACPL policies, approved authority limits, ethical standards and applicable regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field from a recognised institution; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, where applicable.
  •  Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
  • Minimum of 7 years of FMCG sales experience, including at least 3 years in Key Account, B2B, HORECA or Area Sales Management.
  • Proven experience in negotiating commercial agreements, managing credit customers and leading field sales teams.
  •  Must have strong experience in the beverage industry and preferably be currently working for a beverage company in the same market/area
  •  Strong knowledge of the assigned geography and the Nigerian Key Account and HORECA channels.
